Thanks forblue , I have had that thought myself but I'm struggling to find piano wire supplier for 2metre length! Model shops only keep 1m stock! My best "fix" so far was to heat the old spring to soften it, then unwind sufficient to make long arm and then re-temper the spring, quenching in oil...

Help! The partner of this feeder crank spring broke last year and I haven't been able to find a replacement! Anyone got one in their old stock? MF3 1960's Riviera casilis model.
