    Blonde bulls

Good choice no point selling a bad temperament for breeding. Hope you have more like him who have the temperament

    Blonde bulls

Well done good price for a good beast. Looked a good lad was he not suitable for breeding? Certainly better than some iv seen at the shows this year.

    Bazadaise

That’s a great looking cow and a good advert for the breed! Is their much shoes the Baz can attend?

    Blonde bulls

Yes the Irish use to dominate the show a real shame now. Must be plenty Scottish/North England breeders who could support the show. I guess it’s not cheap either tho. Nice one were you showing yourself?

    Blonde bulls

Would anyone happen to know the numbers forward for the Highland show next week? Just to see if it’s worth going as there has been a very pure turn out the last 5 years. Thanks in advance.

    Bazadaise

They won’t melt when they see 20 cows then unlike the buys iv had out of carlisle a few times there unrecognisable after a few weeks one of them looked like a Holstein with the temperament to match just had a red jacket on 😂 Do you breed Angus too? How do the Baz finish?

    Bazadaise

I had 5 lim stock bulls at one point and you’re right there! Just not worth it yes they maybe sell better just now but I’m sure more and more people will come away from them in the next few years making the less popular breeds now more popular and sell better. Some people are still so old...

    Bazadaise

Iv came away from lim too wild, I find most the figures on them are made up and iv had more calving problems than iv had with the char and BB. I’m on the look out for a new breed with both maternal and terminal quality’s. How old are these lads?

    Bazadaise

How do they sell and compare to the lim? Must be easy calving which is good they look the part I’ll look into a few breeders and see what’s about

    Bazadaise

Interesting to know calves look great too! Do you finish them yourself? What bull did you run with your cows before? Are they easy calving?

    Bazadaise

That’s a tremendous bull how old is he? Some stretch and muscle in the right places, how a real bull should be!

    Blonde or limousin cattle?

Iv got 7 blonde sired heifers out of either AAxCH, AAxSIM and AAxlim currently @ 12/13 months and all will be retained for breeding there a good sort and a good bit of fat cover and plenty length coming through from the blonde. Good back ends too. I think I’ll put a blonde back over them be...

    Blonde or limousin cattle?

I’ll also be heading to Carlisle in may to bring home at least 2 bull's as I’m so happy with the calves I have to replace my lim stock bulls I had 6 at 1 point. Might also get a few heifers to go into pedigree breeding with them. That’s how happy I really am with them.

    Blonde or limousin cattle?

I’m going to jump on this and say blonde 100% over the lim! I was a lim man for a good few years as well! I have many breeds of sucklers and stock bulls and the blondes for me are now averaging 45KG heavier than the chars, BB and last of my lim calves at 12/13 months now and I’m keeping all the...

    The ideal suckler cow

Age don’t matter if they produce the goods. What’s her breeding and the calves? Good sort. sorry I should of worded that better there KO weights and grades? Wheat is easier to muck out too.

    The ideal suckler cow

Looks a vary good calf and cow is earning her keep! Are these pedigree blondes? How do you find they finish? Iv just started using blondes and I had my first calves on the ground in the spring and they have excelled all my other breeds and iv recently just bought a stock bull and have a lot...

    The ideal suckler cow

I started this thread as a discussion as I run 400 sucklers with 80 followers currently. I run 16 stock bulls, 8 different breeds to get a variation of finishers and breeding heifers for my own replacements. I was a lim man with many of my herd sucklers sired by the lim and having 8 stock bulls...
