Just acquired this fantastic old Rapidor Manchester machine - I'm sure plenty of you have them.
Needs a few tweaks as I think the blade is supposed to lift at the end of a cut. But its a nice quiet way to cut steel if your not in a rush.

We were trying to figure out a better way to move the calves that didn't require lifting them.
Came up with this little contraption made up out of scraps laying about the workshop.
The calves slide in without effort and then sit quietly while being moved between sheds.
I added a spare wheel...

Just curious, does anybody drop the fender before the pig farrows?
We always drop it as we check and find them with piglets, however it seems like unecesarily disturbing the pig at a tender moment. I wondered if having the fender down as soon as the sow moves in would be better...
