    Power Hacksaw

Just acquired this fantastic old Rapidor Manchester machine - I'm sure plenty of you have them. Needs a few tweaks as I think the blade is supposed to lift at the end of a cut. But its a nice quiet way to cut steel if your not in a rush. Not sure how old it is, other than pre 1970 - older than...

    Ghost farmers - secret helpers.

I have been watching lots of trash American car shows and came across the term "ghost mechanic". This is effectively the backup crew that do all the real work off camera while the divas stay clean. It got me thinking.... My wife runs a small pig farm and our daughters and myself chip in as...

    low cost drinker/feeder

Have been working on a cheap drinker feeder system. Almost ready to send it out into the field. I have a bodged up trial one that works well, but it's too hideous to show you all! It will have a lower set of nipples around the front for piglets if they want to try something other than mums...

    Fenders on Farrowing huts

Hi everyone, Just curious, does anybody drop the fender before the pig farrows? We always drop it as we check and find them with piglets, however it seems like unecesarily disturbing the pig at a tender moment. I wondered if having the fender down as soon as the sow moves in would be better...
