    Relinquishing a Tenancy and Tax

Whatever you can negotiate. Sitting AHA tenants devalue a property depending on the if there is possibility of succession anywhere between 30-80% of freehold value, so if you want to relinquish your tenancy worth thinking of a number between there. Often here of AHA tenants with dilapidations...

    Battery for house

The new house is significantly rural and losing power is a real possibility. During Beast for the east, they didn't have any for a week. Got an oil boiler and borehole, young children and looking to ensure we don't have enormously long periods without water, light and heat. Can we put in a wall...

    Bad Debtors

I really would not recommend Thomas Higgins, made the process of getting the judgement more difficult than it needed to be and then did little to support recovery. Apply for the judgement yourself (its just a form gov.uk) and then send the certificate on to a local debt collector.

    Share Farming. Can it work?

They can say all of this but basically what they want is the benefits of a tenancy income and not having to do any work, without the commitments of a tenancy, tenure and statutory benefits. Go in with your eyes open, if you're relying on this to support your livelihood or pay off a loan, it...

Would be interested in a new innovative project that can revolutionize agriculture and help boost your farming and generate more revenue?

This has been done several times over. Why are you different? How will your marketing budget keep with supermarkets? How will your website appeal to those who want to shop local and already do at local farm shops? For most farmers its not the ability to sell a product, its bringing it to...

    Starlink

I set a calendar reminder to turn it off 1st of April and turn it on 1st of November - the heating does help in heavy rain as well. Starlink is running a program at the moment of £79 per month and £0 hardware fee, its their 'UK Rural Pricing' offer.

    Impossible position AHA advice please

You should too speak to the TFA and your agent. You hold the cards and they are pressuring you into agreeing because they know you do. Don't stress this weekend it won't change anything and losing planning will cost your landlord more than it will you.

    Wet feet in pick up

I'll see where the leak is coming from, it came from behind the accelerator, the car has been smelling a bit damp this winter and think I worked out why. The carpet is always wet. There is a 2018 Hilux with 74,000 miles for £19,000 from the dealer, don't think they'd take mine isn't much use...

    Wet feet in pick up

Drove through a ford today and got wet feet in my 2016 Toyota Hilux. It's done 172,000 miles and does look like it. The problem is it runs fine and is to a reasonable specific, I bought it new for £27,000 as an end of line model. It is though getting tired and worried its going to get a big...

Labour's controversial green plans could cost 40,000 farming jobs if expanded from Wales to England

Using the Welsh governments own impact assessment, if Labour's policy was rolled out across England the impact would be hugely negative. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13071997/Labours-green-plans-40-000-farming-jobs-Wales-England.html

The change from tax credits to universal credit.

I apologise if I am mistaken, I haven't read the whole thread, from the first post it sounded like people are able to claim benefits, whilst investing in a business. That doesn't exactly seem the point of the benefits system which is to help people who can't work or those who are trying to get...
