Not got Pics but fitted one to a Case Puma I had the JD bar that hold dome then made some brackets to pick up on mirror fitting bolts on mirror brackets then bought a Glass moving suction pad and bolted the box to it and stuck it on window but then I made a bracket running from fixing point in...
Case guy told me that they will put me on mobile RTK until Trimble sort it , he didn't mention any upgrades being available , be a lot simpler if there are some.
Thanks for your help Pheasant Surprise and Wombat that makes interesting reading , thought I was missing something obvious especially with some of the replies I got from others earlier on in the thread.
That about sums up what I think has happened , I guess the area of Europe and N Africa that is set in the receiver must have it boundary's and I assume they didn't want loads of sea in that so probably drew a line from Ireland around Cornwall to France and that line cuts a bit of Cornwall off...
Yes the guy had a device with him and tried all sorts of stuff with mine and checked with his he was going to drive down the A 30 towards lands end and see where he crossed the line and lost the correction signal, I whats App the head GPS Case guy this morning to see what the plan is.
Don't...
Yes it still gets the satellite but decides to ignore the correction signal once you pass a certain point,
Trible guys in Holland told me " Oh they don't work by the sea" really helpful, I told Case about this in Oct I think they thought I was talking crap so took till Jan to send someone down...
Up date ,
Case GPS guy came and there is a straight East west line that run straight across SW Cornwall (and through my farm) that is out side the boundary of the area that the GPS recognises as Europe and North Africa so ignores correction signal, I have a line that if you cross you loose the...
I have a 3 yr old CVX 160 and a new CVX 165 both are great tractors and were so much cheaper than any other brand and they are well specked good engine comfortable nice gear box.
Other brands may have bits and bobs about them that some people prefer but £ for £ especially as its my money a CVX...
Only going on what the Trimble guys and the Case guy told me working great now I'm a bit (1 mile) further in land.
Sounds strange I know but that's how it is , they will sort it I'm sure.
It was running on GNSS that's a mix of loads of different satellites apparently but in the box that said correction age it said zero so it would not allow me to put in a a/b line as it said not accurate enough signal , the signal its meant to run on is RTX and this needs a signal from land...
No correction signal so just GNSS, to be fair Case guy on phone and tried to sort it , but moved farms away from coast and it started working perfect so no idea, when I'm caught up will go for a drive and see if there is a pattern to it or maybe just a coincident and it had a bad day, but...
Just bought a Case CVX and had a Case XCN1050 and Nav 900 ( new type trimble) turned up with out the better accuracy signal Case UK guy sent me a QR code that up graded it so all good then yesterday moved farms and no correction signal so crap for drilling texted CASE GPS guy no answer so rang...
Hi , A neighbour and me share a Star fire GPS 3000 with a 1800 screen and wheel motor running on SF1 , it looses signal just by turning near or by trees and can take 20 mins to get full signal , in the mornings it takes 20/30 mins till it has signal , I think up dates are done seems to get all...
Thanks I have a price for the GFX and newer dome, priced the extra steering valve etc to retro fit but not sure if its worth the money as only drilling cultivating etc
Any good ? are they a pain to use when driving on the road heavy steering etc, is it quite etc.
Obviously its cheaper than integrated but don't want to be cheesed off with it on a new tractor/
