They can eat there fair share. I guess ten years ago they would be bred differently and eat a lot less. 10 cows will see a heavy round bale of silage a day quite happily.

I wasn’t blaming the Hereford I’m sure you all know where the problem lies in extreme dairy genetics.

I had thought this is my issue. It’s seems to be early after calving they just have too much milk but I am feeding beet/silageand straw due to the summer drought so maybe it’s been too much for them this year. Only been on straw and then hay just prior to calving but no hay left now.

Any sim luings for sale with known health status and tb4 ideally?

Confusing - What's more important. Depth, moisture or sowing date as I have personally had best results from late September sowing (ryegrass based) due to moisture present and also seem to get on better with it been drilled preferably with a disc coulter which is the opposite of all the advice...

Hi we had similar issue on 6150 after they change the autotronic box. Apparently they are different a codes for different machine and he mistakenly entered the wrong code which made nothing work inc pto. Maybe something completely different.

Would I be better just finishing the sim x or going for a different x completely? Got a lot of good hay and was going to give couple of kg beef nuts rising to max 5kg?

Came from sac health scheme farm. Now on assured farm and not mixed with any of our stock at this point. Can test at potential purchasers request. Genuine sale will go to remainder of the our cows if not sold before turn out.
