I occasionally race a Renegade, they're by far the most reliable for racing, all others literally fall to bits on track. I cant praise them enough, very tough, simple to use, A* from me :)
not 100% sure on top speed but the fastest I've seen on mine is 84mph, that's fast enough off road for me (y)
After two years of UK Ag depression my view is one of optimism and opportunity, hoping the pound will settle at a lower value.
A low pound should help UK manufacturing and Farming by being more competitive on price of exports and commodities, the flip side benefit is that the cheaper imports...
Re the Europeans speaking up, I've spoken to customers and suppliers from Germany, Italy and Spain, they all are hoping we'll exit so that they'll hopefully get the chance also.
They're all perfectly happy to trade post exit should it happen.
'Again would be nice if sumo had been a bit more helpful'
Willy,
my sincere apologies if you feel our telephone service hasn't been up to scratch, to be honest I'm surprised that you've had to resort to naming Will, I'm sure that a lot of people on here will agree that you couldn't...
We have people swapping them around to suit whatever they're doing at the time, but I've never seen them like this. I'll put a picture up tomorrow of how we send them from the factory now.
Afternoon chaps,
Yes we've got some prototype legs out and about on a few drills countrywide, at the moment we'd rather not show any pics as they may or may not be the finished article, they've yet to be tested on hard and dry conditions :)
thank you.
Thanks for that Karl, so in very simple terms, as a small UK manufacturer a vote to stay is a vote for continued low price imports, a vote for out is a vote for Britain becoming a strong, competitive exporter again ??
as said earlier if we leave it won't be long before the German general public demand a vote on exit as they'll see themselves as the main cash contributor going forward.
in my opinion if we exit then the whole thing will implode fairly quickly, if we vote to stay then it'll be taken as green...
:)I'm still here:)
The decision to split off the haulage side was a difficult one but we're all happy with the new arrangement.(y)
We've been through some serious restructuring since Sept '14, early on I thought it would be prudent to prepare the business for hard times (low commodity prices...
it wasn't the axle that was the problem, it was the brackets that held it, we supplied quite a few weld on mod kits to repair/strengthen them.
I'm pretty sure they'll have sorted the problem on newer machines?
In a simple answer yes, they can be retrofitted, adding 220mm in length.
The kit that can be retro fitted to all older DTS drills, these are available to purchase (£179 per unit) comprising extension socket, pins, bolts, hydraulic pipes and seed hose. These kits take approximately 2 man hours...
As you can imagine we don't take issues lightly and as most of you will be aware the main testing year '12 and first proper production year '13 there wasn't the quantity of straw that we've had the past two seasons.
We tested a few ideas in '14 but weren't 100% happy with them, one or two...
Evening, we still make the trailing kits, we've done a couple this year, sadly I can't remember how much though, sorry.
If you're interested then please pm me your number I'll get someone to get you the price.
Thank you,
Shaun.
As far as I know all of the big farming companies are experimenting with DD, some have been using strip till for a few years.
The main driver to adopt DD as far as I can see is the long term benefits to your soil, your main asset, this demands a very different mindset with a varied rotation...
