Unfortunately I had to sale to pay for legal fees against the EA when they had to take some of the land I had for the local flood defence improvements so buying any as such isn’t a option at the moment 😞
Hi all…
So I have about 130 acres of grass all pretty decent fenced no running water but I deal with that
Now it’s not mowable accept from a few acres that happens to be mowable now does anyone know how to go about striking up some kind of partnership?
Maybe; where a farmer supplies xxxx...
Well this would depend on exactly what part of the country your in as to whether there would be much work, here in the southwest of England it’s all hedgerows and very little dry stone walling 🤷🏼♂️
It is pretty terrible when you think of how much land is being taken away at such a huge scale, we are a growing population and taking such a large amount of land like there doing eventually we will be in huge trouble
Hi all
Just wondering if people come across many partnerships where one supplies the ewes and the other the labour and land?
Maybe lambing some ewes down for someone and then keep a percentage of lambs as payment? Anyone familiar with these kind of arrangements?
or does anyone know of...
Suffolk’s are enough to put any man off sheep, I had Suffolk’s and got rid they are the worse most difficult things at lambing they don’t want to push but just go to the nearest hedge and die I’d never have another Suffolk on the farm again cost me me big time them bloody things!!
ive seen some proper sh!t box telehandlers they don’t seem as respected as other kit on farms, I much prefer a tractor loader however you don’t have as much reach or manoeuvre ability with tractor loaders
Well problem is this old is all well having it but it’s obviously going to go tits up more than new kit may because usually older kit has been hammered to hell more than new kit may of
I worked for a woman who had brought a 390T she had it a month maybe 2 and the thing went up in flames due to...

Got a few swaledales in with my usual sheep none of the others have gone anywhere accept 1 swaledale cannot find it anywhere at all checked the hedges and no where at all
Anyone have any ideas as to whether she could be, and how would I explain this in my movement records/to the authorities
My ram is running with 30 ewes but the ewes keep splitting up into small groups across 30 acres, so my question is will he still cover all of the groups even tho they all split off over 30 acres as I am worried he wont Due to them being spread out in groups over the land?
