    OSR this year ?

    I’ve not got any photos but some plants are growing in a z shape, never seen it before nor has the agronomist. It’s as if something has eaten into the stem at ground level a little and when you go to pull it out it of the ground it snaps. It seams worse in the thinner areas.

    Looks like a fine morning tomorrow then heavy showers in the afternoon. Hopefully get this field finished then I think that’ll probably be all I can drill. Still water stood at home on low land.

    It’s a twose press with 45 degree rings in. It’s a good press only downside with it is the rings are 3m Center so the frame makes it wide on the road. But if you can get the front through the gap then the rest will go through.

    People will always buy if the price is right. Sounds to me like it would benefit both the buyer and seller if the items are sensibly priced.

    I’ve used it for patch treating areas. It’s fine for small areas but I wouldn’t want to do 50 acres at 1 ton acre. It’s a slow job trying to get a decent rate on.

    Ok I’ve not had that before but at a guess there will be a battery inside that maybe flat. Mine randomly looses the cal factor sometimes which is annoying got to check every morning to see if it has remembered it.

    Oil - genuine vs non genuine

    I spoke to witham at yams and they said they have a certificate from deutz to say there oil is good to use on deutz engines. I think they said they supply Sam sprayers with oil.

    Sprayed beans this morning was pleased I didn’t get stuck. Drill on and 16 acre of barley in the ground this afternoon. Need plenty more drying days before I can plough anything else of my own to drill.

    About 30% here. Num3 will be used as a break crop replacement for osr and possibly beans.
