Has anybody used a colour sorter to clean up a sample of small seeds. Got a few weed seeds and chaff to remove from approx 7 tonnes and wondering what options I’ve got.
I did a seeding at Mukinbudin in WA in 1990 then travelled and picked up the odd bit of work for the rest of the year, met my future wife there and was the best year of my life. Definitely encourage young ones to do it before the get tied down with jobs, cars, partners etc
I’ve got a NH CX720 and have applied for exactly the same as you on the same grant and got a quote from Soil Essentials for a Ceres 8000i yield and moisture monitor with mapping which came in under the £5000 limit
The Scottish Farmer magazine was 100 years old in 1993 and ran a competition in conjunction with Massey to win a MF 390, my dad won it and got presented the keys to it from the Queen at the Highland Show. Haven’t had any luck winning since but we still have the 390 with nearly 10000 hours on it...
