Will a logic flail mower cut grass to a “lawn / outfield” standard?
I have had a rough cut mower which has served me well but is about at its limit for life and so looking at the logic as I cut a fair few rushes (a lot to be honest) and dead grass in pastures but the rough cut has a blade and...
Some of out hens are losing feathers and very red. They look sore but are actually laying relatively normally and are not ‘acting’ sore.
As far as I can tell there is no red mite, they are not pecking at each other and we took one to the vet but they had no answers and gave a steroid injection...
I have a rough cut mower as above.
Using it yesterday and the clutch assembly /pulley has worn through.
I have internet searched and the company does not seem to exist anymore and so spare parts seem to be unobtainable
I know this is a bit of a no idea question but have I any possibilities...
Is there anywhere that I can get dozen egg boxes from? Can get millions of half dozen but keep looking on internet and eBay and no one seems to sell dozens. Other than picking up what people give us after buying at supermarkets ,they are like rocking horse muck.
Thank you.
We have 24 Hens that produce free range eggs. They are out from 12 until dark with literally free range over the garden (term loosely used😂) and fields close.
Have noticed since we have had to have them housed due to bird flu that the shells have gone very light in colour and I was thinking...
I want a very thin ( alarm size) wire through a 2inch duct. It already has 2 electric cables in but the problem is it has loads of corners and I mean loads. 4 x 90 degrees and a slow bend. I had rope through to get the electric through and I must admit I thought should I put a rope through...
We have 25 free range hens in 3 separate houses and have just decided to buy a larger hen hut for all of them rather than mending again the original huts. But as we are at work we tend to leave them in until we get home and then let them out to give less chance for our friend’s Mr Fox and Mrs...
Just out of tying to gain some knowledge. We have both Charolais and Beltex x Herdwick store lambs. When we take them to the Auction we have always sorted them into their different lots. Beltex x or Charolais x. As a buyer are you bothered if there is 2 different crosses in a pen or do you...
How is anyone managing with the present state of the world? Are people in lockdown or still managing to “manage”. I’ve had to stop paid work for 12 weeks but as we are out on our own we are managing to lamb but not away from home to help any where that we would normally “give a hand”. I feel...
A bit of advice or any thoughts required please.
Has any one crossed Herdwicks with a Charolais Tup? We have used a Beltex for a couple of years which has done ok though had a struggle to get him through tupping time last year and so he had to go and was wondering how a Charolais would do for...
I have a Ritchie pig and lamb scale that all the kg scale has disappeared off. I have got a new face for it but I take the little bolt off the arrow and it is still fastened on by some means. I haven't tried to force it either way for fear of breaking it and was just wondering if anyone knew...
