Has anyone on here used a cheviot tup on scotch/noe mules and texel mules? Wanting to try this for replacements in the hope of lambing more outside and ewes doing better off a grass based system? Pictures of the resulting crosses would be much appreciated aswell!
Interested to know if anyone is running these as ewes or putting a texel ram over bf ewes? Interested in buying a couple of batches of draft bf ewes try the cross with the idea of running ewe lambs on to keep as replacements.
Has anyone here used a lleyn tup on suffolk/mule and/or texel/mule ewes to breed replacements? If so how did the resulting ewes turn out?
Thinking about pulling out a few ewes this year to give it a go.
Have a pedigree lim bull calf, about 9 months, that I'd like to show this season. Only problem is he'd do anything to get away from you in the pen. He's penned with another bull that stands to get a good scratch, total opposite! Anybody any advice on how to settle him or if its worthwhile trying...
