its not that it bugs me its just trying to get the most out of the profits we buy in by the tonne so the price between the 2 sizes of bales is no different its just the big bales are easier to handle for us

we use around 175-200 4 stringers per year

we buy it in we don't bale our own

we did think about that but huge amount of labour involved

So I have a equine livery yard and been looking at ways to make the straw go further we currently just stack large square bale straw into a shed and they just open them up and use from the stack now we used to be on small conventional bales and they seemed to go a little further than big stuff...
