Could be a twist in the square shaft driving the bed which will take out the bearing into the vertical gearbox and possibly chip gears. Knife hanger or knife missing, Uj on conditioner driveshaft, conditioner tines missing
We have a 305 (I think) ....... if you start pulling it to pieces take some patience pills and a strong drink.
When running right they are great, but toma large extent made of plastercine
Bearing on idler gear in the drop box, runs half up box , doesn't get much oil and gives up. Seizes to screw in pin that it runs on and the whole thing is scrap.
Could be the bottom bearing in the same gearbox, let's the oil out into the bed so no sign of a leak to alert you and then the above happens sooner.
Could just be a cutting unit going though.
Worth having a look as it would be a easy repair if caught early.
