I have a recently purchased MF 135 Diesel power steering. It has been driving very good until now. I noticed steering was getting harder and harder. Pulled plug off power steering pump. Looked like a mud puddle inside. Is there a way to bleed this line or can anyone give me some advise as to what to do.

I would fill the pump to the top with engine oil, start the engine then turn steering wheel from one lock to the other a few times stop engine then fill up again
The pump could have an internal leak the oil leaking back into the engine

I do appreciate your input. I did what you suggested yesterday. I also drained the pump several times by removing the bottom line. As tractor was running I had my father in-law turn back and forth. At the same time I was adding fluid. Managed to get 99% of the old fluid out. Don't think I have any leaks. It steers much better now.

If you haven't any external leaks, the steering will be fine until the oil level drops again
If it drops again you will know the oil is leaking into the engine.
