bag of crisps

Joking apart, Old Tip, thousands of commoners are owed £millions under Minchinhampton and the NFU has failed in its efforts to get the RPA to process it for us.

This is an utter disgrace.

The danger now is that, because it's been a matter of maladministration and the money has to be found by Whitehall, any further delay until after Brexit will mean the whole amount still due just being subsumed into whatever meager pot then remains to cover the whole industry.

The whole thing is s mess, in the future if there is one I do hope they see sense and only pay the folk who are actually grazing the commons as at the moment it's a farce

at the moment it's a farce

Have you received your Common land letter from the RPA today, Old Tip?

It surely goes as far as officialdom ever can to admit it's actually really been an utter farce.

"Thank you again for your patience and we're sorry it's taken so long to contact you".

But now, however sadly delayed for whatever reasons, it's all very good news, at last :-

"We are about to make additional payments and . . . we'll allocate additional BPS entitlements to match the previously unpaid eligible area . . . "

The NFU's reaction today should have been a real treat.

If I can find it, I'll post it.

Yeah @bankrupt git my letter, also been told by the Federation that the remittance advice will be skimpy so there's no way of checking they've given you the right amount. But at least we may get some back payment which is a step in the right direction I suppose

Have you received your remittance advice yet, Old Tip?

Whether it's completely accurate or not, it's a welcome boost to one's finances and well done to everyone who's been working hard for years to get this sorted.

Strangely, no comment available from the NFU.

Yeah as said it's virtually impossible to work out if they've paid you right but it's nice to revive it at long last. Still owed some of the 2016 payment but I assume will get it one day
