Not sure how this will work.
The energy companies who currently provide this support work across the border. Does this mean they will have to charge Scottish consumers proportionately more if there is a big take up of PV in the North

I assume the cost will be spread equally. Will England be charged proportionally more for the cost of Hinckley point? We have a cross border national grid and cross border DNO's, so I would assume there would be a cross border cost distribution. It's an interesting point though...

Fluke so much of politics, not thought through before announcements are made. Reading the article it seems to suggest that existing contracts are at threat In the South and it is only a guarantee till April anyway

As far as I can tell, they are changing the one thing they have control over, which is the grandfathering removal. There was very little notice of this change (a few hours), so the change would be welcome to those who had invested in a project but not yet reached planning.
