Nothing new about this project. In the mid 70's Colonel Gaddafi started a major tree planting programme in Libya with initial water coming from aquafirs to start the growing process.A vast quantity of eucylatus were planted. Iwas loosely involved with this programme as MF tractors were utilized to pull the 4 wheel water bowsers.Australian dry region advisors were resident to oversee the initial phase of the project. Foreword thinking many moons ago by Gaddafi !!

FFS, this is Africa, gullible westerners will give large sums to the project and a few will go to see their tree planted, even growing.
Many will report how well the project is going and lots of money will be deposited in Swiss banks.
There have been many such projects, the Africans are good at parting fools from their money
Ps a large scale project was undertaken in India with similar aims, except they used the wrong acacaia planting a variety which is poisonous to lvestock
