On newsnight the other night, it was reported how the civil service was working on a plan to have a flexible , not quite out but not in relationship with the E.U should the vote be to leave.
If this is the strategy, would it affect the way you voted?

We should go back to the original aims of the common market, free trade but ditch all the bureaucratic nonsense side. Make our own rules and regs, we don't need help to do that, we're quite capable of coming up with our own nonsense.

Sorry, I asked the wrong question.
If everyone was aware that a vote out was likely to result in being a ' distanced' member of the EU, those voting out would still vote out but many others would be tempted to vote with them as it would be the end result the majority would be happy with??

I think most of the country would vote for the old style common market without the political crap, the trouble is herr junker at al are more concerned with the political crap not the single market, why would a political class that have never worked in the real world give a monkey about commerce, they dont understand it because they have never worked in a proper job which is why they get influenced by lobby groupsthey dont get the whole picture or understand the impact of stupid decisions as it doesnt affect them as they get paid from the tax payer regardless of how they perform

i.e. going back to what I/we would think of a EFTA or EEC then yes it could change me from a Leave to a Remain voter. EXCEPT, I would have to believe this was actually going to happen, and (and I mean this) I would not believe it from Cameron and his mates. It would have to be endorsed by Lawson, Tebbit, Owen, and the boss of JCB etc etc.

We are not alone in this. Aparrently according to a recent survey the French are even more fed up and "ever closer union" than we are. So things are going to have to change, otherwise it's all going to go belly-up.

problem with the eu is, we hear alot from the political elites, that all want closer integration, the norway pm wants to be in the eu properly, but the people don't want it, but like now, all the main parties want to stay in, so without voting for a party like ukip, we're only going to lead in one direction, until the electorate convulses so hard they ignore all logical reasoning and go to the far right and left that we now see is happening in the eu, all because the political elites want to do their own thing without listening to the people.

And that is why I feel we have to vote out to shake these people out of their cosy little world, if they dont get real it will end in violence, I have said it many times here and in conversations, look at yugoslavia etc to see how forced unions of countries end
