We had full RAC cover including getting you and your vehicle to a destination of your choice. My son broke down 25 miles from home a few weeks ago with a clutch problem on a Nissan. Rang RAC at 15.00, at 16.00 they said they wouldn't attend as it was a problem that couldn't be fixed at roadside? but would send a Recovery. At 19.00 the Recovery firm rang to say they would be with him within 3 hours, but he would have to make his own way home as they would not let him ride in their vehicle due to covid. So I had a 50 mile round trip to pick him up while his vehicle was recovered to a garage 3 miles from home. Next day the garage repaired the leaking clutch fluid pipe, topped up the reservoir and told us to pick up the car! As soon as we had done this, I switched to Green Flag-same cover 25% cheaper Edited to add. The breakdown wasn't in the middle of nowhere, it was in the middle of Plymouth
