I've just got the dreaded letter to renew my driving licence. The optician said he thought I'd lose it two years ago so I haven't been near one since! But now they've given me a deadline. I live alone, two miles from town, and TFF is a life saver. What do people do? I'm thinking of advertising for an occasional chauffeur as some things need the Land Rover and trailer (fire wood, feed, etc). I suspect I'm autistic as I am quite happy on my own -- but with dogs and horses which I WOULD miss! I have one (only) delightful livery with FIVE kids living with an OH with two of his own. But not all are at home. And another girl I can call on for help has three young boys under ten living in a row with neighbours on each side. How on earth do they manage? I really feel for them and count myself lucky. I am still fairly active. Since lock down I've been repairing things I'd normally throw out. Heater, incubators, vacuum cleaner, electric fencer, etc. and now fitting a wood burner into the bedroom. But the prospect of not being able to drive is worrying me.
