Funny old world, isn't it. Last night I thought would watch good 'ole boy George Monbiot Rivercide vid. Posted a link a way back in this thread. He set about his task with gusto. Basically outing the chicken boys along the River Wye. Chastising the Welsh Government whose minister mumbled about the desire to encourage diversification among farm businesses as a sort of excuse for allowing and encouraging farmers to go down this polluting route. Was a bit like the current government apolgising for slave trading 200 years ago. And slapped the face of Noble Foods and the Happy Eggs brand. Monbiot on top form! He does make his points well. And as usual he has a cohort of worried, concerned middle class well pensioned Prius and now full EV folk in tow to be interviewed. But at no point does he actually talk about the folk, the ordinary folk who eat the chicken and eggs produced. Geore cares about the environment - and good for him, but always seems to lack any idea of where the food will come from instead. Nor the economics that have led to larger more cost effective production sites. Presumes maybe it grows on Waitrose selves? Ah well.
