I have seen boards as bad as those working well. If you have any green sand or similal in your area, a day or two working in that should get them up enough to handle most soils.

I think they they made 2 frame sizes, on the third furrow extention
10" / 12" &12" / 14"
the one with the step In is the wider one

Do you know how many variations of the 59 were made I see this picture on an old Cheffins advert it has a stepped frame but not sure what model it is ?View attachment 199676

right first off get them sand blasted, this is the only way to get to the bottom of the pits, if you dont stop the rust pits they will just get deeper, then you can see if they are worth doing any more with,
i have wondered if it might be worth trying something like filling the pits with JB WELD or the likes, and then polishing them
