Cambridge rolls

I bought a small set of Cambridge rolls a few years back, rings are 17 inch and its approx. 6ft wide. Trouble I am having is that the rings will lean off, sometimes stopping. I have all the rings off, and the rings are worn flat from the hub up to the ring; whereas I think the hub should be wider than the ring???
So Im using washers to give a gap between each ring?
Will this work as I clean out all local suppliers of 50mm washers!!

The rings should be the same width at the hub compared to the outer most part of the ring (unless it has breaker rings but i doubt this is the case with yours) in the whole width there should be around 2cm of axle spare if they are all pushed to one end, any tighter and they can stop turning.

Put all your washers at each end until you get down to 2cm spare.

I put on all the washers, in between and shes solid, locked solid!!. So could my problem be the difference in diameter of the ring holes, and the axle/shaft??
Thanks Lincsman, Ill try your 2cm. Tree surgery tomorrow, so It will have to wait until tuesday.

Just to update; took out one of the wider washers and rolls are turning again.
Going to fit a narrow washer and hopefully it will be where I was aiming.
Thanks lads for your help.
