Dominic Cummings' farm is reported to have received 235,000 Euros in subsidy. The Observer and the Guardian are making an issue of the fact that it turns out that along with his parents and one other person, Cummings owns a farm in County Durham, and that the farm has received 20,000 Euros each year from EU subsidies. It obviously isn't a very big farm, and by most standards, that would be a very modest amount. But it goes to show how far the Remainers/left-wing press are willing to go to try to discredit those who are intent on honouring the result of the referendum. Will the NFU put out a statement defending the farm's right to receive subsidy, and to point out that maybe all the subsidy from what is obviously a small farm is most probably allocated to paying whoever is working on the farm. In the same way that the Queen's farms, which will receive infinitely more subsidy, will allocate their subsidy to the farm staff who look after the farms and help feed the nation - and that both the Queen and Dominic Cummings won't see a penny of it. But I doubt it. Despite most farmers wanting to leave the EU, deal or no deal, the NFU seems to be on the opposing side.
