I'm a farmer/contractor son from Pembrokeshire which we run a fleet of new holland and john Deere tractors, but last year we purchased a new case puma tractor from our local dealer with three years manufacture warranty. We ordered a 160hp tractor the same as we had already but in blue!! When she arrived she had the same power as our 210 JD!!! So we had our local mechanic on the yard one day working on our TM 140 and he had his dyno with him, so we decided to put the case on it, believe it or not we had a reading of 204hp before boost!!! We discussed this with our mechanic and he advised us that it had been remapped, and most probably did not have any manufacture warranty as all manufactures state any electrical remapping is warranty void. Worried about our three year manufacture warranty we contacted some of our friends, family and neighbours who purchased the same make from the same dealer and all said the same all tractors had serious power and expensive on fuel, and most were worried about their warranty!!!! One of my friends advised me that his JXU 105 had more power than his NH 6120 which he couldn't understand!!! I just wanted to ask people for their advice before I contacted case head office not the dealer to see where we stand.
