Does anyone have or know who makes a weigh platform that goes between crush and race. We keep breaking load bars on crush as there is too much force when the cattle hit the head yoke. Any ideas welcome

Would it be dificult to make / get made a chequer plate floor to fit over weigh bars in the race between 2 gates? They'd have no reason to put excess force on it as they'd just be stood between 2 gates in the race. I'd put it before the crush.

I used the frame from my old scales.
I put box crossmembers across to carry a chequer plate floor. It's heavy enough to not slide around

We had a frame made up by a local engineer. Basic frame made of box metal on the bottom that the weigh bars sit in, this frame also has two pieces of channel so you can move it with the pallet forks rather than lifting the weigh bars apart if that makes sense. Then a simple frame with chequer plate on top the weigh bars. Will try and get a picture.
