To burn off cranesbill you need 6 litres per ha glypho 360. Even then it can come back. Such high levels of glypho are not conducive to germinating grass seed especially of its stuck to trash laid about. If thistle seed has shed locally I’d say it’s best ploughed down to a depth where it’s non viable. Ploughed seedbeds have always given a cleaner better start to grass here unless it’s prone to drying out, windblow etc which some of it is.Surley if you burn off the stubble at seeding nothing will have a head start
