Changing a radio in an MF 7600

The radio in my 7620 needs changing, I was thinking of replacing it with any decent value car radio, however, someone has told me it needs a special feature, something call a d socket (or something like that) as the 7600's have an automatic battery isolator and the radio needs to be compatible with that.
Has anyone had any experience with this this?

It has to have battery backup or you will loose all your presets

I've put DAB radios in my tractors and its bloody difficult. Some radios have different wiring and you have to frig around changing things. My advice is to get it fitted by a radio firm like that one in Ashbourne Road.

I put one of these in my 7618 when original unit failed. Has back up memory aswell as dab (aerial reqired) but no cd player. No problem with connector block.

I’ve got those too…
Good radios 😊

I've the previous 505 version. Superb top end radio with wonderful sound quality👍

Behind the seat, I've a pair of JBL 6x9 speakers driven by an in- phase amplifier, and an alpine subwoofer, plus some alpine s series in the roof

Makes it a very pleasant place to spend a day ❤️
