Saturday I recieved a text from a horse lady I have delivered 4 bales to. Asking if she could pay what she’s owes after Christmas. In a nice manner she was told no we need to money in for our bills and wages. This was the first one of this season. Anyway the illness must have spread very quickly in the equine world in these parts as come yesterday evening after leavening my phone at home whilst out for the afternoon. I came back to another 5 or so asking if they could pay after Christmas. I’ve noticed a pattern as it’s all the ones who’s horses and yards are hovels, cesspits, pits of misery and down right uninhabbitable. Have kids and can’t afford them than have a horse or two and can’t afford them neither. The mind boggles at how these people bimble though life and are so cheeky and carefree. I’ve always had one or two like this but times are getting harder and this seems to be getting more common every year. Yet they still go out drinking, have their nails done and fancy frocks and cars. It’s always us though that they try to eek out or cream off. Probably because the bank wouldn't entertain it nor the petrol station or wine bar after drinking the bottle of wine. Typical love hate relationship with the equine fraternity. Sometime they make you a lot of money on jobs and sales. Other times you just want to bash their heads in to make them realise the error of their ways and stupidity.
