I found this unit on eBay for decent money. Good Briggs Stratton engine with electric start, and a good big compressor. Only thing is it needs an unloader valve as the tank and valves it was connected to werent for sale. Makes big pressure very fast!

would anyone know where in the uk i could get a pressure unloader / throttle control valve like this ?

How many CFM is it out of interest?
I really dont know! Its a two tool compressor, fitted with a twin cyl deutz diesel engine. I will have a look for any details when I next go past it.It is a bit too big for my blasting kit, spends too long at idle, so the fan is not drawing enough cooling air.

Little feckers them Deutz for running hot, need to check the pots for debris in the fins. But you already know that. We have one that wont start when hot, well the starters not fit to crank it until it cools down.

Its the comp which gets hot, has an over temp trip though so shuts down if its too hot and bothered.

Got back to this project today briefly.

Found a company in Birmingham that could supply bits.
These bits arrived a month ago.

Technically they're fir a Honda engine, but with some bodgeineering it'll do the job.

Needing a fair few fittings etc. Looking at air-supplies.co.uk, seem to have the best online stock. Would there be anywhere else to look?

Looks like you can undo the securing nut at the end of the actuator and swap the wire if you need to adjust for the throttle linkage.

As far as I can tell the nut seems to be for adjusting the travel of the wire?
I think I just need to make a hole in the throttle lever for the wire and make a bracket in the right place to fix the actuator to.

Definitely going to fit a emergency valve somewhere in the system just in case it all goes wrong!
