Let's hope that after all of this is said and done.... The milk demand will stay high and then the hospitality sector will jump back in and we might be onto a winner finally with it all again..... Haven't heard much from vegans lately... We have a massive string of them round our way and they haven't said alot of recent times.... Nice breath of fresh air..... Anyway I hope other farmers stay positive, a young lad who works for me just finished college we took him on in his first year... He never left.... So became part of the farm furniture said to me this morning about what's happening..... Made a lump in my throat when someone really loves what they do and is worried the rug is going to be taken away from them.... That's what gave me the drive to keep going no matter what we have to do, jump through hoops and more.... At the end of it find another way if that way is to expensive.... I'm starting from today to source more responsibly and more cheaper without comparison on quality etc.... Or at least I'm trying, grass is really ready now just ground could do with a good session of sunshine and a bit of wind to dry it up and then cows are out.... I did think about the whole thing also.... Really although I own my farm etc and it's contents.... Its not really mine I'm simply a custodian of it for a time, the time I am here on this planet.... When I'm gone its people like the young lad who works for me who will benefit really from it and they will then become custodians also.... And so the cycle continues.... Keep your heads up fellow farmers! Draw the long face and worry away from your workers! It's our burden to carry.... As hard as it can be... Leave it in the house and put on your big boy pants and face the day! (My motto for the week) keep doing what you do best! Be a good role model for someone else on your farm, stay safe all have a great day
