Fonterra makes single biggest food service investment in NZ dairy history at Clandeboye

A new $240 million mozzarella plant will be built at Fonterra Clandeboye, in South Canterbury, in what will be the single biggest foodservice investment in the history of New Zealand dairy.

The site, just north of Temuka, will be cemented as the largest producer of the natural cheese in the Southern Hemisphere.

Work has already begun on the 8100sqm expansion - the third mozzarella plant at Clandeboye - with the first product destined for markets due to come off the line in September 2018.
