Hopefully 2 pictures attached somewhere. Any thoughts on the value of these 2? I'm not up on David Browns so I'll have to assume that the bonnet decals of 770 Selectamatic and 880 Selectamatic are true to the machines underneath.
Both have been here several years, the 880 is used daily on a yard scraper, the 770 is used as a backup scraper and on a cement mixer so not used so often. Both are in working order for their age but guess it's likely they'll have some issues.

If they both work , start,no smoke, hydraulics go up down, steering not too floppy and gears which do not feel like stirring porridge, £2500 each plus
Pity not original exhausts

Sold....

I think the 770 has a red thinner exhaust pipe that need a weld and would be fine. The one on that in the picture actually goes with the 880. They do both start fine. The 770 probably needs a battery. The 880 will start fine without easy start in the middle of winter, the 770 gets used so infrequently that if you go to it having not been started for 6 months it might need a quick pull. Steering not floppy, and if anything too stiff on 770 for daily scraper tractor use, likely needs some lube. Clutch on 770 needs a spot off attention. Thrust bearing (?) according to the mechanic. Will get done at some point although might not get used for another 6 months. I know nothing about them other than I've been a steering wheel attendant on a variety of them for the last 25 years.

Probably worth far more to you .................

Afraid if the right money was available I'd get shot for something more modern. I have no time or inclination for unforeseen repairs and the chap that has always looked after them is slowing down, and it's harder to find someone when/if they do go wrong as all things do.

I just had that bought and you have given the game away :)
Will be interesting what happens Saturday

Ps you can't paint the 880 red as they did not do that model
