Deere cab trim

How does the trim around the right hand side console in a JD 30 series cab come apart?

The tractor in question is a 6930 premium with auto quad gearbox which won't go into top gear. Looking through the slot around the gearstick, the selector for E range in the gearstick gate is out of line, preventing the gearstick from moving over it. I presume there is adjustment for the gate/cables in the console, assuming the cause of the problem is not in the gearbox.

On the older deeres you used to take the flat panel off next to the seat first (fuses) used to live there, then lift the floor mat and undo a few nuts what held the curved plastic, pull it outwards and down and off it came

cant imagine the design has changed that much, and yes the cables are adjustable, had to adjust them and tighten the bolt what holds all the selectors together on the 6610 at work a few months back

Take out 5 bolts just at front of seat that holds a plastic angle bit to holf floor mat, after thats off and pulled back you'll see the nuts holding the covers on just oposite the throttle pedal thinkthere about 4 or 5 along there then the cover will come out I think.

Don't it just wedge down and flip out as that's how my 6330 panel came out for a spool cable? (Large side panel next to the seat tho) but every thing can be seen then.

@John 1594 The consoles have changed a bit since then

This is a 6600 with the older style console, lots of nice obvious screw heads to work with.

And this is the 6930, conceled fixings and a side pannel that feels much more fragile as @NZ Tech said, which is why I asked before making a mistake and mess of it.

I take it there isn't a particular techique/order to unclipping it then, just go easy at it.

Partial success, I removed the side pannel intack, sorted the gear cables and rerouted all the trimble harnesses out of the way, but now have the challenge of refitting. I need a cup of tea before tackling that.

The phone holder would be a good idea if my father's phone (only one that fits it) reguarly made it out of the house. That bit of trim just pops up off to make fitting to it easier. It now has all the cables to the fm-1000 emerging behind it.

Always safer to leave the "good" phone in the house, we have older ones for the dust .........
You didn't think of doing a UTube for the rest of us, also handy to have for the next time?

John its simple enough when you know what your doing. I expect the redesign was mainly to help reduce assembly time. It went back together fairly easily and quickly once I worked out how its mean to go back together. Its just that moment where a haynes manual would just tell you to "unfasten the pannel" and your left thinking 'so how the F do I do that'.

@Mursal, I'm bearly a voice for radio, let alone a face for video and refitting trim with one hand while filming with the other is a level of multi tasking far higher than I'm willing to try. However...

The side pannel is held in place by:
The top edge and side against the door tucked under other pannels.
Two press clips at the bottom near the seat. Circled in purple/blue
The hard plastic part held by three plastic nuts underneath, covered by floor. Circled in green.
The hard plastic part by the mat is clipped through the softer pannel, but I didn't bother seperating them.

Studs for the nuts circled in green and holes for the clips circled in purple.

To remove the pannel first as @Jd Everytime posted, remove the trim infront of the seat holding the floor matt and pull the mat back. To make untucking it from under the consol easier, start by lifting and pulling it from by the A post.

Unscrew the 3x 10mm plastic nuts and unclip the pannel by reaching under the bottom edge around each clip and pulling towards the seat.

(Swearing at the tractor without realising it)

Ease the pannel out in the general direction of the brake pedals to remove it. Refitting is broadly speaking the revese of removal, taking a bit of riggling to get it tucked in right against the door surround and then under the rest of the console top, before refastening.

The hardest part was finding a decent app just to draw a few circles on photos, followed by getting the ez-piolt harness to fit back neatly in the channel cut out of the underside of the matt.

The trim all survived and its nice to get the cables tucked a lot neater out of the way.

Thanks all for the advice.
