Drilling subscription free ?

So last year was my first using a Topcon system and I subscribed to omnistar correction signal for 3 months
anyway went to put a cover crop in last week parked on a tramline called up last years A-B line and it was bang on so just drilled away 3 fields all near enough not to nudge the line ?
So this year will start on a T/L and nudge the line if needed
Am I just lucky or are we being sold something we don't need ?
