Quick count up and it seems my supplies are running low.

Lack of farm sales and whatnot means I'm going to need to speak to the bank manager to see if I can buy new😱.

Long winded but my question is are the pig tailed ones still the type to buy?
Just thinking as it may have been a decade, possibly 2 since I've needed to buy any😂. So there may be an alternative.

Yes, depending on your type of ground.
Really hard ground you're sometimes better with heavier duty pigtails with a decent foot but the 7mm ones are heavy in a bunch of 15 or more! 👎

I like a bit of a range, from lightweight to heavy (in case of corners or dips, they hold better) and put a few of each in each "fence set" - because I am a fussy barsteward. Generally white plastic lasts better than coloured 🤷‍♂️

Some of the plastic treadin type are OK but some are shite as well, from clips snapping (cheap plastic) to the spike breaking (shite galv) after a bit of use, UV down here kills plastics quick enough.

looking dry from early in the new year with us and some excellent grass growth so suspect we’ll be looking to be out for a few hours by the 10th if we can keep the rain away.
Your cows are out already. 😓🤣🙈

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail😁.

Turnout be here before you know it.
I like the live stakes. Will find a link

agri part uk, their pigtail stakes are the same as kiwi kit, but rather cheaper, £1.60 +v off hand, haven't bought any since spring. Voss, on ebay worth looking at, we bought some cheap metal ones, £1.20, but 'funny' tops, rather spindly, but hold in ground extremely well, good for semi permanent.
