Good Afternoon All and thanks to Jeremy for suggesting I jump in for this thread. As way of introduction I am John Yuille and for my sins I am MD of ATV Services as well as director of UBCO Bikes UK Ltd. We came across the UBCO 2x2 in the early part of the year and managed to get one shipped in before the pandemic struck. Initially I intended for ATV Services to be a dealer to the new European arm of UBCO, but things progressed to where we are now as UK Distributor and of course ATV Services were our first dealer appointment! The management team at ATV were looking for a new off road transport option for usage in our core market of Ag as well as other sectors. There was a thought / concern we were seeing larger and larger ATV coming with higher and higher price tags and wanted to readdress thing a little or at least have an option and if we were to truly "think differently" renewables had to be a consideration. After a few air miles and far to long on the internet we found UBCO. Thourgh pandemic we have formed a new business and have appointed 9 dealers in the UK including ourselves. These dealers are not motorcycle shops but predominantly Utility ATV Specialists, who understand Ag and what our customers need, so we all take part exchanges and all know what VAT is and know what we need to do to look after farmers! At the moment we have just ordered our first batch of machine that are due to come into dealer stock in mid September and these shall be both the ADVENTURE (road legal white bike) and the WORK (off road black bike). We shall offer 3 battery choices 2.1kw, 2.6kw and 3.1kw (to quell the range anxiety). Prices shall be announced over the next could of weeks but it is fair to say that prices start at £5k plus vat for a WORK BIKE with a 2.1kw battery. I appreciate it is not for nothing, but when we look at what we are supplying, lack of fuel cost, minimal service costs and the back up of a proper dealer I think we are "in the hunt". The government grant is an option, but there is a fair bit of leg work and tweaks needed that I cannot promise shall be quick, with the whole UK government focused on the pandemic, we are at the back of a very long queue. I would be delighted to give you any more info I can and if I cannot tell you the answer I will know a man that does, also if you are interested in UBCO and all thing NZ Ag can I suggest you register and take part in the Farmer Guardian Live Webcast https://www.fginsight.com/nzagritech on the evening of the 19th August, UBCO CEO is taking part and is a really interesting guy and I shall be on the keyboard to answer any questions you may have. Anyone want to know any more, or where there local dealer will be (a little pre launch info) give me a shout 07976 037975. John
