Farm bike - do you have one?

Steady, steady, no googling otherwise you'll come up with something completely unintended o_O

Anyway, I tend to walk around the place a lot. With dog, without dog. If it's a job and a tractor isn't needed then it's the old Hilux. But what about a bike? Not the pedal type, one with a motor.

Years ago I rode a Yamaha XT125 about the place. Road legal but it needn't have been. 6v electrics, lights went out on tickover when the battery was feeling the cold.

Forget quads and utv's - anyone checking the fences, gates and stock on a motorsickle? If so, what?

I've a Honda CT-X200, one of "the south-American assembled Hondas". I don't think they're available in the UK market but they're a pretty ideal farm bike.

Suzuki DR200 'Trojan' are also really good, same deal: front disc brake, electric start 200 capable of a 60mph cruise

Yamaha TT-R is a better ride than those XLR125 Hondas

Not too sure what you can get, CRF150 is good if you're smaller, or a 230. Shame they stopped making proper XRs.

I use my Dad's 1979 Bultaco Sherpa, which he bought when I was about 5 in the early 80's. I gave it a rebuild last year and use fairly regularly for crop 'walking'

I really want a yard moped, something that you can just jump on and press a button to start and zoom up the yard to open the gates, I could waste half an hour some days unlocking and locking the gate
Remote control Electric gates? Of maybe a fencing contractor who has a digger to move the gates and drive to a handier location.

I know a chap I would recommend I will pass you his number on😂😂

We bought a year old Honda CRF 125 a couple of weeks ago, looks brand new, hardly done anything and was about £1700. Only a teens bike ( my missus is small so it suits her), bit small for me but great for nipping round the sheep and isn't a great lump of a thing

Have a 300ktm enduro great for scooting about and road legal but pants if you need to take something bring something back. Would really like a Beta 200rr dealer still hasn't phoned me back. I've had a few bikes now always make sure they have a kick stand it can be surprisingly hard to find somewhere close to rest them up close to where you are working. Good example one side of the fence hedge open gate ride through go to close ditches in both sides for 100m.....just have to drop her.

Years ago had a Yamaha V90 step through scooter, swapped the sprockets for v50 ones, and put chunky tyres front and back, did 10 years hard work and cost nothing bar petrol and 2 stroke oil in that time.
Used many an AG bike in oz 20 years ago, can't understand why their not sold here?
This is what I always wanted but sadly you just can't get them here even on import because of the emissions regs
