Maybe I am getting too old and grumpy ( and I havent hit 50 yet) but I saw various blogs etc about The Farm Safety Foundation and cannot knock any initiative to reduce accidents on farm 'But' I do wonder where they are coming from on their cycling blog?, it says about cyclists 'If you see a group of riders in matching kit, it usually means they’re riding with a club. This should mean that their riding skills should be good, consistent and predictable. Conversely, a group of riders in mixed kit might be more casual, less experienced and should be given a wider berth. and so it goes on( info supplied by British Cycling for the blog it s appears) , from my experience any cyclist is a major hazard and have never come across these super skilled set of riders , we have had cyclist in team colour under take tractors, hold onto trailers, overtake on bends the list goes on but it's more than a too way street regarding safety of tractors v cyclist and they do need to play their part but does this reflect in the output from 'The Farm Safety Foundation ' ? hell no !!
also
on another output from the above I take it to tell farmers to 'Grow Up' and maybe I should but not everyone should , I just really cannot see the angle they are trying to achieve , you would have thought that with the NFU director of marketing and strategy being in charge they might be all over this (IMHO) but maybe I just need to grow up ,shut up and stop being a git .armoured hat at the ready
