Farm tracks repairs - draining water off easily...

As like many our tracks are in need of some TLC.

Over the years water has run down the wheeled areas leaving the classic hump in the middle. In places it’s only 2-4 inches deep, others it’s more.

id love to scrape the centre out and re stone the lot but it’s hard to justify so I’m just filling up with type 1 either side and roll in.

the farm is ona hill and the tracks get a lot of water running down them so I need to drain them in to the road ditch.

ive seen on Scottish estates they use crash barriers as drains, I tried this but it filled up with debris really quickly and stop working.

im considering digging in a concrete pad maybe 1.5 m deep across the whole road and form a sloping V in it so all water has to Passover it and can drain sideways. An acco drain or similar will I think get blocked so want to get away from grills. for comfort my head tell me to have the v 90 degrees to track so axles pass over it together rather than staggered.

what have others done?
