Fe 35 gearbox

The high-low gearstick on my fe35 sometimes jumps into neutral, however today my old man has gone over a bump and it jumped out and now there is no drive at all

Any ideas what it could be

possible wear in epicyclic hi lo unit or weak detent spring. total loss of drive could just be split pin fell out of shear tube and shafts come out of engagement. should be able to see shear tube thro lh side cover

Split pin had snapped on shear tube, thankfully nothing major.
Now to find the small lugs from the split pin before they ruin my new pump

i would think they have dropped into the bottom of the housing and wont cause any harm

The pump doesn't have the filter on it otherwise I wouldn't bother.
It's not a massive job to drop the backend oil

half of a large screwdriver lived on the bottom of dads 35 gearbox for many years, never caused any trouble
