Planting a small orchard, deer will destroy it within a week unless i fence it. wire fencing is about a 1.00 a ft. Looking for cost effective suppliers or alternatives than might work. Live in scottsville ny

Not sure where Scottsville ny is but just put up 300+mtrs McVeigh Parker supplied, Concreted straining posts and gate post, Deer fence post very tall so old bale spike driven in first then put the fence posts in at 4.5mtr distance's Good Son in Law made all the difference.

I suspect in the USA they can buy virtually any kind of timber with actual wood preservative that works. Could dig in railway sleepers and use them as strainers?
