What could I replace a 500w Halogen type flood with for a more energy efficient light? I need to be able to throw the same sort beam area as the old halogen.

Thanks

50w would be similar. The 100w is fantastic but double the size and about three times the weight.

Thank you folks for the replies. I'll have a go with a 50w. Not a vast price but a PITA to fit where I need it. Oddly 2 50w lamps appear quite a bit cheaper than 1 100w led flood.

The 100w is an industrial built light. Completely different build. The difference in weight between the 50w and 100w is huge. I have some here and I have got them up yet. The 50w is a 10 minute job to fit but these 100w lights will need a few brackets made with the welder.
