funding someone elses stock

I'm guessing this is dairy replacement heifers?

So you're the farmer or the financier?

I hadn't thought about it for replacement heifers, we are actually using it for beef animals.

And we are a bit of both, and yet neither. Technically speaking we are an integrator, working with the farmers to install our systems, and then using our financial partners to supply funding to get it all running.

Sounds an interesting model. Beef animals as in slaughter generation?

What is your system?

Thanks, we like to think so.

We are rearing dairy-bred bulls mostly, looking to finish them at 13-15 months. Currently, we are operating with limited numbers, but things have been going very well and we are keen to expand.

Our 'system' itself is something we have pioneered and are looking to bring to the market this year, a pretty revolutionary livestock housing system that has a host of benefits.

We are able to take a simple beef system, and generate a highly diverse revenue stream from waste products, whilst also delivering a number of health benefits to the animals that will ultimately improve the margin for our farmers.

Always best paddling your own canoe

well, that depends, if your canoe is leaking and your worried you might sink, getting into one of our canoes isn't a bad option.

Also, sticking with the canoe analogy, if you currently don't have a canoe and can barely swim, we can give you one and get you paddling.

It makes no sense spending your own money if you can spend someone else's instead, getting involved in integrated schemes will net you a better return than going it alone for about 90% of farmers.
