Gasification

Does anyone know of gasification systems that have been constructed in the UK by a gentleman called Gene Mike Pope? It is supposed to be capable of burning household waste and turning it into a gas that can be used to power a generator.

Nope. But if you want a gasifier to produce syngas from waste then I can design one for you!! And /or point you in the direction of well proven kit. I wouldn't be happy for the gas to be clean enough to run an engine though, and in my view any claims like that need a very thorough checking. Can produce very good gas for steam raising or other gas combustion. All about scale, needs to be big to be worthwhile.

I have a set of plans for an Omniburner (a South African development of the NZ Waterwide) if you want to have a try at building. They were used for direct firing tea and coffee dryers.
