- Oilseed markets remain buoyed by soymeal which has rallied 44% over the last 6 weeks, with the July 16 CBOT Soymeal contract hitting 10 month highs on Friday.
- On CBOT Wheat last week managed money reduced their short by 5,606 contracts, but still remain 72,575 contracts short.
- The USDA release figures this evening on corn and spring wheat planting progress, as well as winter wheat condition. Last week’s report showed that 62% of the crop was in good to excellent condition – up 17% against this time last year.
- The European Commission release its European Consumer Confidence figures today at 1400 – a high reading is will be seen as positive/bullish for the €, whilst a low reading will be seen as negative/bearish €.
- The majority of the UK will be dry throughout the day with sunny spells. However, the south-east are forecast some showers this morning.
