Depends if you want a computer based system or a "box on the wall" setup next to your fans. We chose a Robydome system which we've been happy with so far. For the Rolls Royce type of fan control speak to "Monitor & Manage". They have an excellent system but its pricey. They argue that you get a return on investment in a very short time but it all depends on your fan size, electric cost etc...

at £100 ish /t your bang on the only thing we do extra is shove a metal rod in then when you pull it out check if its warm and move it, cost about a fiver saves the panic of a hotspot when its too late to put a spear in at the far end of the shed

I got a load of the cheapest indoor outdoor thermometers I could find and use some tape to hold them on sticks and leave them in the heaps. Every time you check the temp move them works well for me. I found using a probe it would take an age for the reading to settle

Make your own with a Rasperry Pi!

The hardware is suprisingly cheap, you'd be looking at not many hundreds, and then you can either find some open source software or program some yourself. All it is is basic 'IF' statements.

Interesting idea for a buisness there! But you would have a very basic start/stop system if x happens. With a system like the robydome or monitor &I manage system you have a nice visual display of each zone so can monitor each area. Depends what your requirement is I suppose...
