Got a small field of Italian 1 year ley that was meant for cutting however still got loads of silage left from last year due to reduced stock numbers.
Could I make use of it for grazing cattle. Possibly try to paddock/ strip graze it (with a back fence). Would beasts fatten on it any better than a mixed ley (1 or 2 year old)
or just plough the bugger down and stick in grain, as I really have too much grass and stores are bloody expensive just now.
