talking to a local lime spreading contractor about spreading gypsum. said it was very dusty nearly caused accidents on the roads as people could not see., and not windy. is recycled gypsum as dusty. a lot of our land is next to m1, so need to be careful.

Yes, it is dusty normally.

To be honest, I haven't spread any for 18 months, it seems to have gone off a bit around here.

I have spread some in the past that was moist and whilst it spread off the discs quite well it wouldn't run through the spreader.

However, last time I spread some it was horrendously dusty.

My advice would be just to order one load. If it's not what you expect cancel the rest.

Ridiculous rules have killed the recycled gypsum job.
The cloud of dust from freshly delivered stuff was unbelievable, but I clamped some as it arrived, left it a year, and it made it a far better consistency to spread.
I was expecting it to have capped, or be too tight and lumpy, but the moisture was lovely and even through the heap, and it was over 30' high!
